The study presents the results regarding the retrospective analysis of the tactics of differential diagnosis in 49 patients with acute mesenteric ischaemia , using the original model of the expert diagnostic decision support system. The data obtained indicates the relevance and validity of the clinical application of a similar system in the diagnostic program for patients with acute abdomen as a diagnostic assistant. The role of the proposed system for early diagnosis, improvement of the quality of medical care, and objective assessment and analysis of the causes of diagnostic errors in emergency abdominal surgery and ICU is noted.
